A creator, usually a construction or landscape architect, needs talent of his or her own as well as creative inhabitants and cities open to evolution in order to materialize his or her ideas. The interest of our society in an author’s act remains limited. This article looks from various points of view at authorship featuring uniqueness and artistic expression. It deals with the creation of urban space, possible sources of inspiration, and facts affecting the process of creation.

A tendering process for the project architect of the revitalization of Václav Beneš Třebízský Square in Klecany took place in 2010. The subject of the assignment was the renovation of the square, construction of new quiet communications, pathways and public areas and the design of urban furniture in an area of 10,157m2. Another part of the project was a new arrangement of the park and its enlargement to the east, as far as to the former fire pond, with a design for a stream and body of water using two existing springs. Studies, documentation for spatial proceedings and a project for planning permission were produced. The works took place during the years 2011 and 2012.

In encyclopedias, infrastructure is usually defined as “structure which makes the basis for any system or organization”. This rather universal definition suggests that infrastructure means something completely different for a banker, a military commander, a merchant, an engineer, a dentist or a gardener. For the needs of urban planners, infrastructure probably contains all the facilities serving a given town or region, including transportation of passengers, material and information.
